VETTHINK, INC. SALES REPRESENTATIVE & TRAINER POSITION

header2VetThink, Inc. is an exciting start-up publishing and consulting company serving veterinary health-care teams and pet owners. Our mission is to increase the performance and satisfaction of veterinary professionals and to ensure that pets receive the very best in health care. We are looking for highly qualified persons to join our team in a sales and training capacity.

Reports to: company founder and CEO

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the VetThink, Inc. product and service lines, along with the philosophy of the owner and founder regarding these lines and the concept of breed-specific health care
    Earn revenue for VetThink, Inc. through prospecting, customer acquisition, relationship development, and identification of opportunities to grow business through partner organizations
  • Sell publications, training, coaching, and consulting services to veterinary practice owners and managers within a specified local geographic region
  • Follow up by phone or in person on leads provided by VetThink, Inc.
  • Provide training to veterinary teams regarding how to implement breed-specific health care in their practices
  • Provide customer service and follow-up care for purchasers of VetThink, Inc. products and services
  • Track and report on sales and customer interactions by way of CRM software and reports
  • Staff exhibit hall booth at national conferences; track and follow up on leads; generate revenue through sales at conference

Identify opportunities for greater distribution and sales of VetThink, Inc. products through new channels
Achieve sales quotas by appropriately managing number of appointments, travel time, and relationships

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Three years of training experience, including interactive presentations in a face-to-face environment
  • Three years of business-to-business sales experience
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with people in a variety of positions and with a variety of personality types
  • One year of experience working in or selling to veterinary practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Internet research, and CRM software
  • Passion for improving the quality of pet health care
  • Professional conduct, attitude, appearance, and approach to veterinarians, their teams, and veterinary practices
  • Ability to travel locally and nationally
  • Willingness to work on commission only
  • Demonstrated persuasive oral and written communication skills
  • Proven sales performance in a commission-based compensation model

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five or more years of training experience, including to multiple audiences and in multiple formats
  • Five or more years of business-to-business sales experience, with demonstrated ability to meet sales goals
  • Five or more years of experience working in a veterinary practice in a management capacity or providing business consulting services to veterinary practice owners/managers
  • Existing relationships with owners and managers of veterinary practices in local geographic region
  • Proactive, visionary, entrepreneurial thinker capable of creative problem solving independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to design engaging training using a variety of interactive methods
  • Excellent group facilitation skills
  • Excellent one-on-one coaching skills

COMPENSATION AND TRAVEL

Generous commission structure, with payment twice monthly. 100% commission based. Potential for commission on residual sales. Monthly travel stipend based on reimbursable expenses. Not a benefitted position. Job will require local travel and occasional overnight or out-of-state travel. Part-time or full-time
